I am not simply just "in the moment" I want to keep it. I want to remember it. I want to hold it close and look back at it later. And again, smile and remember the moment I fell in love with.
So this is one of the reasons why I have a camera in hand, often. Why I say "turn this way", "Look over here", "Hey you two get together"..... Because the moments are more than falling in love, they are falling in love and holding on!
Not everyone feels this way and I get that.
I don't have but a small (and that's being generous) handful of photos from when I was a child. My mother didn't take, or keep pictures. And those we did have, well they weren't moments she wanted to hold on to, so they were gone....lost forever.
Maybe I over compensate in the photo department, but really? Can you have too many photos of the people you love? The friends you enjoy? The moments shared? I don't believe so - I want to be able to open an album, be it online or in my hands and look back at the times which we shared... like a first Christmas, cheering in the New Year, a family together while everyone is home. Moments laughing in the mountains, a school concert... whatever the moment, if it contains a smile Let's Capture it.
As we head into a New Year, new moments, new milestones and new adventures I'm putting out the word... I AM GOING TO SNAP... Snap pictures of you smiling, sharing, celebrating, loving, laughing and enjoying life..... GET READY! I have every intention of MANY SMILES in 2014 and capturing them ;) CHEESE!
