hummm....it intrigued me from the get go as today my "boss" is having a luncheon for which I am doing all of the footwork and preparing. Not a complaint - just sharing. What I would complain about if I were to vent is how his rude behavior in directing me on this has frustrated me. He doesn't want the responsibility but he wants what he wants and I'm supposed to figure it all out. Mind reader I am not. His behavior has been rude and unappreciative. I'm prayerful on this as I am understanding his demeanor - He is just this way & I've learned not to take it personally. The reality is I mostly like him.
Enough about work.
God spoke and reminded me HE IS BOSS. The one who is directing my journey and that I am not to question Him when things go differently than intended. I am not to question Him, I am to Trust Him. He knows my heart :) As I read and felt His presents I began to realize He is reminding me He isn't "just the boss". He is the pilot, the driver, the map, the vessel, the director, the coach, the leader, the Holy Spirit here with me, taking me through life just as He has planned for me. And He reminded me that just because I think something is great...it may not truly be great for me and if I become disappointed, I need to remember TRUST HIM and TRUST HIS PLAN for God's plans are far more abundantly, exceedingly, overwhelmingly better than what I "think" I want or desire. God's plans....trump all of mine and I need to not question when things go in a different direction. I need to SEEK HIM, TRUST HIM and FOLLOW HIM. Oh God is so awesome!
Sometimes I don't understand and I will openly admit to questioning. I never doubt or lack trust, I simply am human and I wonder with a hint of "why". I've learned and most certainly in the past ten years, God's plans are far greater than our own. If we will completely trust Him, even in our disappointment of RE DIRECTION, we will see HIS PLANS are FAR GREATER and when we look back to see how He unfolded it all..ohhh my the wonder of the awesome spirit!
Deuteronomy 8:6-16 6 Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him. 7 For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land--a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills. 10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you. 11 Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. 16 He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you.
