The message on Sunday was "reaping what you sow" and trusting God in the process. If you plant kindness, and unkindness pops its ugly head up in the form of someone coming into your world and trying to jack it up. LEAVE IT ALONE. Let God pluck that weed from your harvest, you need not react. You didn't plant it, you shouldn't cultivate it. If you are on a path full of faith and you are planting seeds of strength & encouragement and someone comes in and sprinkles their frustrations and disappointments...LEAVE IT ALONE. Let God pluck those weeds! Water your faith and cultivate what God has planted in you, He will take care of the rest.
Ohhh thank you Jesus.
Yesterday while feeling the pressure of this situation with purchasing a home trying to remain faithful to God's leading and directing someone sprinkled their lack of trust in the process, their disappointment and frustration into my crop of encouragement. I had to really bring myself to the place I was before they arrived in knowing GOD IS CULTIVATING his plan for our lives. I needed to remind myself, God will pluck those weeds and He will help me to water and encourage the crops in my life. I need not say a word about the influence of the negative seeds that were being scattered I only needed to turn to the Gardner and ask for Him to guidance.
Hours later the phone rang. On the other end someone interested in seeing our house again PRAISE GOD. My heart filled with encouragement and my hopes and faith in this long process came to a place of being reminded ~ Just because one person didn't see the fruit, doesn't mean it wasn't there. THANK YOU JESUS. She will come today to see the house again. I've prayed over her, I've prayed over our house and I've prayed over the process.
God has clearly been sharing with me this message: Just because you do not see the crop, does not mean that beneath the soil there is not work being done. And much like a gardener, one of you may see "the growth" and one of you only see "the work". TRUST THE PROCESS. Cultivate your garden in faith, even when you can not see anything happening. Do not give up. Do not change course. Do not grow frustrated. For what is happening is a process and you can not lie a seed in the ground and expect to look back and see a watermelon. It must be cultivated, it must be watered and it takes time, it doesn't just happened because you want it.
Thank you Jesus for reminding me to cultivate positive, God driven dreams and to trust the process. And thank you for reminding me, just because I don't see what is happening, doesn't mean something isn't happening.
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.
