I like being creative. I like using my imagination. My friends know this about me, so when my sweet friend Janette introduced me to PINTEREST she felt she was doing me a wonderful favor. Oh she did contribute to my creative, imagination of wanting to make things and pin things and pin more things because SOMEDAY I'm going to have time to make all of those things that I have pinned. Be it a meal, or something fun for one of the kids, a creative indoor make over, an outdoor project or simply putting some wardrobe ideas into action.
My name is Donna and I'm a pinoholic! Truth be told, I am not JUST a pinner.
I have implemented a number of ideas and I've even done some super fun creative things as well. It isn't like I'm JUST pinning. I pin with intention!
As I was scrolling through my Pinterest "homepage" it occurred to me that people can tell a great deal about you by the "stuff" you pin. You are able to see one's likes, desires and dreams. You get a sense of their lifestyle. Are they health minded? Do they read lots of books? Witty sense of humor, warped sense of humor? Interest in learning. Appreciation of insight and direction. Humm interesting, this pinterest. As I scroll through my Home Page, I find there are many faith based pins being shared, many home and décor ideas. Plenty of plans for refurnishing furniture. There are pictures and posts that one might note I have a family who I adore and want to take care of, Spoil and love. Plenty of creative ideas from top to bottom.
Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 1 Timothy 4:14
As Christmas is quickly approaching it is with a grateful heart I am creative. I have ingenuity and ability to do things which others might not ever conceive. It is a gift. I'm grateful for this gift. When it comes to showing others who I "really am" I would like to thing they see it in how I gift them. I'm not typically a buy a card and gift gal ~ although I do! I'm someone who likes to think on it and use my creative juices and their personality and likes to gift them. I'm thankful for this gift. I've shared before I appreciate thoughtfulness from others, I soar over the moon when my kids make me something, I'm jumping up and down when my husband spoils me with a hand crafted gift. One of my most favorite Christmas gifts came from Janette mentioned above ~ it was a Photo Christmas Tree. She made it for me years ago, using photos of my kids. I loved it then, and I love it even more each year when I bring it out and set it in a place to show it off. The photos make me smile, warm my heart and remind me how quickly children grow up. It is also a splendid reminder of the love, creativity and thoughtfulness of a dear sweet heart, my friend Janette Lemons. ;)
Thank you Jesus blessing me with this gift, may I use it this Christmas season to bless those we love.
